The very fact that we are considering whether or not we as a society should accept as not only legal, but also desirable the union of two individuals of the same gender in holy (read "unholy") matrimony speaks volumes as to the depths of debauchery into which we have fallen.
Our laws protect those who would and do kill unborn babies. We allow our leaders to strike police officers without retribution (Cynthia McKinney), abandon drowning companions (Ted Kennedy), and lie before the nation regarding a criminal investigation (Bill Clinton). A Muslim terrorist thug, who wants to kill you, can proclaim that you are a "racist" and deserving of the scorn of nations, yours, mine, and ours!
To paraphrase Shakespeare's Puck, "Oh, Lord, what fools these Americans be."
